I remember when I was an employee and I had to manage the organization. The business owner had never made a mistake of making a complain about something in the presence of the other staff.

Is it wrong for a business owner to complain to the manager a particular anomaly in front of other staff?

I think it depends, if it's something everyone needs to learn from, then corrections can be made in presence of everyone, then again it should be done with respect, even if you are the business owner.

The business owner can correct the manager in the presence of other staffs or employees. It does not mean anything and it does not show lack of respect to the manager. Nobody knows it all, therefore a manager stand to be corrected.
