In today's world, it seems everything is all about target marketing. We are even talking about micro-targeting. Tryon to sell to everyone is generally not favoured in online business today.

Asking now. Is it a very wrong business approach for an online business to target everyone?

Hi, in my opinion, trying to sell to everyone in an online business isn't the best strategy these days. With so much competition and so much information available, mass marketing doesn't work the same way it used to. Nowadays, businesses need to focus on a specific audience, understand their needs and preferences, and offer them something that truly interests them. Segmentation, whether through micro-targeting or specific targeting, allows for personalized messages and increases the chances of success. Furthermore, by targeting a defined group, resources are better optimized, and a strong, loyal community can be built. Trying to sell to everyone can result in scattered efforts and low effectiveness, which isn't profitable in today's digital environment. That's why I believe focusing on a clear niche and specializing is the best way to succeed.

Because there isn’t a single term, idea or product that is interesting, attractive or useful to “everyone”. In order to get anyone at all to purchase your product/service, you need to be more specific in the description of the features, benefits and value. That is the first level of specifying your target audience from everyone to a subset (even if it’s a huge subset) of everyone.

An online seller does not target all; it is the people who are viewing and searching on the web about sellers and products they are looking for. It is better to supply them with products that appeal to them, and the price must also be considerable.

There is notting wrong for an online business to target everyone, but at the end of the day, it becomes more effective if you have a target audience.
