It's not useless. It's called time savings deposit and I have a 5 year time savings deposit. What's good with it is we can't withdraw anytime we want. It earns a better interest.

It depends on your method of saving, and I believe if you are simply saving alone then it's not worth it. Cause saving is you simply keeping money to spend later on. Investing while you save, I believe should be more worth it.

It's good to have savings because there's always available money to rely on only for old age in a circumstance that requires immediate money. It's not easy to persuade our relatives or friends to let us borrow some amount for an immediate purpose.
It could be happen but mostly it doesn't happen commonly, and when people don't save some of them started thinking new ways to pass away. The point is, saving is very important especially in this present age.

I save for emergency use. You can earn interest if you put money in your savings account and you can withdraw the money any time.
