Is it wrong to lie on your CV? What about to mildly exaggerate?

Is it wrong to lie on your CV? What about to mildly exaggerate?

Legally, I don't think it is a big issue. Though if the employer I applied to actually did due diligence, I would hope they would see through what was written, and ask about it.
 
I don't actually think it is wrong though as long as you did not totally lie about it. Like saying you have a degree in a particular field and you know notting about it.
 
That depends on what you lie about. If you do not have a degree but you put it there in your CV, I think you will be in trouble because the employer will find out sooner or later. But I think you can slightly exaggerate your achievements in your employment history.
 
It is wrong if the issue being mistaken is the applicant's educational qualifications. Documents are required to be attached in the application process. The company might call these schools for verification. For me, it is wrong.

I don't agree to lying or exaggerating in a CV. I wrote the true facts and yet got work.
