Is "strong discipline" a selling point for a school?

I feel while this is good, most parents might be scared that their child might be flogged and all that, so most schools often use modern equipment and teaching skills as a selling point more than strong discipline.

I went to a high school that used strong discipline as a selling point and parents of those days fell head over heels for it. That can't be a selling point for a school in today's age where parents pamper children. I for one won't send my child to such a school.

Parents certainly prefer schools that have strong discipline. This can be a good selling point for school business
Most parents actually prefer their children to go to schools with moderate levels of discipline. Not that kind of military barracks discipline.

I think it works, especially for parents who are tired of soft rules in other schools. A lot of people still believe discipline builds character. But it depends how the school defines “discipline.” If it sounds too harsh or old-fashioned, it might push some parents away. They need to balance strictness with care.
