Is the consumption of data the same across all the devices?

For instance when all the factors are kept constant, what do you say about the consumption of data on the computer desktop, laptop, tablet and smartphones? What do you think?

No i so not think it's the same thing. From what I have observed, the higher the phone and it's processor and the likes, the more data it consumes.

Bigger devices like laptops always have a far higher data consumption level than smaller devices like smartphones.

When wifi hotspot is used, data consumption increases very quickly because I feel that the hotspot may be getting hacked . So I avoid using wifi hotspots.

It is because the computer has been programmed to view WiFi connections as unlimited bandwidth. That's why all apps want to update when WiFi connection is available.
