Is the entire crypto thing just about bitcoin now?

Over the last two days, I have been getting notifications of bitcoin breaking it's all time highs. I have not really heard any mega news from altcoin. Is the entire crypto thing just about Bitcoin as it is now?

Of course, that's not the case. Bitcoin, as the leading crypto currency, will certainly impact some altcoins, many of which have also seen their prices soar, even if they haven't set new all-time highs. Bitcoin's current price has reached $116,000.

Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency and is still the most commonly traded. But there are others too.

People are not profiting from the altcoins as much as they are making money with bitcoin recently.

Bitcoin has strongly captured the narrative in this cycle because many Wall Street institutional players have come in and built the narrative around Bitcoin, but the market changes and adapts; this won't always be the case.

If you just want invest but don't expect big return in short time.
If you fit to this conditions then go for BTC. Not fast but definitely safe return.

Is the entire crypto thing just about Bitcoin as it is now?

Ehh, not quite for two reasons: (1) Bitcoin will always have first position in the crypto space because it was the first-ever cryptocurrency and (2) unlike most other cryptocurrencies (Litecoin might be an exception to that) there will never be more than $21m Bitcoin ever created so there, at some point in the distant future, will come a day will Bitcoin trading will be a zero-sum game.

Bitcoin is like the only crypto that one can say they can rely on for it to rise. The rest of the crypto are just trying to catch up.

Currently Bitcoin is controlling 65 pwecent of the market, so looks like Bitcoin is rulling the crypto space.
