Is the litecoin blockchain getting congested?

I have discovered that my litecoin transactions are taking unusually longer than it used to be. Before now, it used to take five to 6 minutes for my litecoin transactions to be completed. Now, it is taking as long as 15 minutes to 17 minutes.

Is the litecoin network getting congested?

Not only Litecoin but any blockchain can get congested, especially when transactions are high/heavy and can also be caused by scalability issues etc. So momentary blockchain congestion is normal.
