Is there a difference between online business and e-commerce platforms?

E-commerce: is Online buying and selling of goods and services. Then Online Business (or E-business) is All business activities conducted online, including e-commerce.
Examples: Online marketing, customer relationship management (CRM), supply chain management, etc

E-commerce platform is just a channel used for online business, online business covers both e-commerce and anything that has to do with making money online.

Yeah online business is all encompassing it goes beyond just going into e-commerce which is just a part of it

Of course, the two are different. E-commerce is a subset of online business (e-business). E-commerce focuses more on online buying and selling transactions, while e-business encompasses all online business activities, including marketing, customer management, etc.

They overlap, but they’re not exactly the same thing. An online business could be anything from freelance graphic design to running a subscription newsletter. E-commerce platforms are specifically for buying and selling products online. So you could say e-commerce is one type of online business, but the term “online business” covers a lot more.
