Open markets are large expanse of structured spaces where sellers sell products. There are general open markets and specialized open markets.

Do you think that selling in an open market is better than selling in a street shop?

Personally, I believe that selling in an open-air market has advantages and disadvantages compared to selling from a street-level shop. In an open-air market, there's a greater influx of customers from different areas, which can increase sales and product visibility. Furthermore, the market's structure usually offers greater organization, security, and convenience for both vendors and shoppers. On the other hand, a street-level shop can have lower rent costs and greater control over the space and decor, which can attract a specific clientele. In my opinion, the choice depends on the type of product and the target audience. However, in general, selling in an open-air market can be more beneficial due to the greater exposure and the ability to quickly reach diverse customer profiles.

Selling in the open market often brings the advantage of getting many customers in a short time because these areas are very crowded and space prices are cheaper compared to street shops. However, street shops offer stability and business respect because customers know where to find you every day and also the safety of the products is better. Therefore, profits depend on the goals of the trader and the type of products he sells.

It depends on the kind of product you're selling and the kind of services you're offering. A barber or a dry cleaner will not be as effective in the market as he were to be on a street shop but a provision seller and a boutique operator will thrive more in the market than any street shop.
