Italy investigates nurse whistleblower

Italy investigated a nurse who denounced staff shortages on TV. For me, the most relevant aspect is accountability. Personally, I think it’s worrying how whistleblowers face retaliation. What surprises me is the scale of scrutiny. For me, the most important step is transparency. In the end, I believe whistleblowers must be protected to safeguard healthcare.

This is one of the reasons why tons of people are not willing to speak out cause at the end of the day, they fear being attacked.
