While we have popular brands like Apple, Samsung and the likes when it comes to smartphone dominating the tech market, in Nigeria we also have three well known brands, which is from the same parent company but have different targets audience, which is the tecno, infnix and itel.
Talking about itel today, itel is a perfect example of the saying,
" Be careful what you start with"
Itel started with small hand phones and not smartphones. Their aim was to give out budget friendly phones, but over time they started venturing into pocket friendly entry level smartphones. With how expensive phones are today, if you need a smartphone that has a reasonable battery, good camera and even beautiful designs, and is still affordable, the itel was the best choice. The problem here is there are tons of people who are still not willing to buy itel phones simply because they see them as inferior due to the fact that the entered the market with small hand phones instead of smartphones. People often make statements like i would rather die than to be see with an itel phone. What's your take on this, and how can itel full break out from this?
