According to the report, a 5.3-magnitude earthquake has hit southwestern Japan at 6:29 am (local time). The quake struck off the Tokara island chain, which has seen over 100 jolts since June 21. The tremors came amid predictions made by a manga artist. The artists predicted a “real catastrophe” for the country on July 5. The prophecy was a part of manga artist Ryo Tatsuki’s “The future I saw”. Tatsuki’s 1999 edition mentioned a “massive disaster in March 2011”. In March 2011, a 9.0-magnitude earthquake triggered a tsunami that killed nearly 20,000 people in Japan. Manga’s 2021 “complete version” warns of a tsunami on July 5. The artist's prophecy warns of a bigger tsunami for July 5 than in 2011.
Japan is prone to earthquakes. Japan is under the ring of fire, so it is expected to have earthquake attacks any time, any day.
