News has it that , Jill Sobule, the singer of the groundbreaking 1995 hit “I Kissed a Girl,” has tragically passed on.

The musician and songwriter d!ed in a Minneapolis, Minnesota, house fire early Thursday morning, May 1, at the age of 66.

She became a household name with “I Kissed a Girl,” which is widely viewed as the first openly gay-themed tune to make it into the Billboard Top 20.

She was also known for her song “Supermodel,” which was featured in the 1995 coming-of-age teen classic film “Clueless.”

Was not really a fan since i don't normally listen to this kind of songs, but the song i kissed a girl was quit popular back then. May her soul rest in peace though.
