JUST IN: Toxic gas leak k!lls 37 in Plateau

At least 37 miners have d!ed in Kampani Zurak community, Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State, after a carbon monoxide leak early Wednesday morning
Safiyanu Haruna, a miner in the community, confirmed the tragedy, adding that over 20 others injured in the incident were rushed to a hospital in Wase town for treatment.

What kind of mining were they doing? Was it legal mining? Why didn't they have enough safety protocols for the mining activity?

They should have been extra careful with it. I hope this doesn't happen again may their soul rest in peace.

That was a deadly gas. Many were killed and wounded. Why did it leak? The in-charge failed to examine the gas was safe or not.
