According to the report, India has suspended the Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack. The 1960 treaty, which governs water sharing between the two nations has endured through wars and decades of tensions. India’s move is a diplomatic response to Pakistan’s alleged support for cross-border terrorism. Islamabad has warned that any attempt to block or divert the rivers' flow would be considered an “act of war”. The statement stops short of labelling the current suspension as such. With Pakistan dependent on these waters for agriculture, and India exploring its options, the region is bracing for potential escalation.

India has tolerated a lot over seven decades of this cross border terrorism. Pakistan has been given enough warning and chances to mend it's ways in the past.But it has not. India has a history of not provoking or initiating a war ever. But it's a strong economy and in all possible ways can defend itself with its strong military. We helped them in Covid with free vaccines and supplies. There has been numerous occasions of natural disasters and other situations where India has gone overboard with providing humanitarian support to them. But if they provoke, they would get the retaliation as they have in past and this time with greater impact. India will take actions on all possible stands to make Pakistan realise that they can't always get away after a terrorist massacre.
Unfortunately, the common pakistani suffers. They are poor and the government should focus more on development and infrastructure. Instead they choose to focus on terror funding. Pakistan funded terrorists have caused enough destructions across world including the 9/11 attack on twin towers.
 
Previous governments in India were a bit softer one when it came to dealing with Pakistan. And that made Pakistan go strongly with terror funding for India. It's so unfortunate that the country is bankrupt and people are hungry and paralyzed by the huge inflation. And still government spends a major chunk on terrorism and goes begging for funds in different countries. Even the progressive Islamic countries have declined and banned them. It's a sad state of affairs for them. They have to realise it soon before they perish. Religious fanatics don't bring economic prosperity.
Modi government is a strong one and a decisive one. It will not go soft. Pakistan knows it well. The whole country is angry with cowardly act of these terrorists and they just want justice to be served. Pakistan will pay a huge price

Pakistan have caused a lot of problem for India and surrounding countries. Pakistan have produced some of the worst terrorists that have attacked India on any slightest opportunity.

Politics is an act of diplomacy and interest. Every country is trying to gain better advantage over the other. I think the two countries are likely to find understanding between themselves. Let's continue to pray that tension will not escalate in that region.

Yes this would personally be the best option no doubt, but i doubt it would be that easy, there would be certain steps and measures to take to achieve this.
