People always fall for the trap of disposing and their current smartphones simply because they want to upgrade.

It is quite expensive to upgrade your smartphone, and it is financial wastage if your current smartphone is still working fine.

The only financially sound reason to upgrade your phone would be if it is not serving your needs for a smartphone well again.
Well said, if the phone can no longer effectively serve your need, then it will be wise to change. Like my phone, it still works but i am not having difficulties using it for some software i need for work. This alone is a reason why i need to upgrade when i get the resources to.

It is expedient to get yourself a smartphone before your current phone stops working just so you won't loose the money you've made for emergency phone when the need arises. Instead, get another smart phone and double your hustle so even when one disappoints you, the other will still serve you.

I really think a good phone should serve you three years before it starts depreciating. That's a lot of time to save money and change your phone.
This is so me I don't joke with my phone..I keep it well because I don't even have the money to be changing phones

I bought a new phone yesterday, although my old phone is just two years old. I have three standby phones. I am using them alternately.
It is fine if you can afford it absolutely. But two years is still enough to start getting a new phone so that the current one doesn't shut down on you.

It depends, because if you use it for financial matters, or you absolutely need a phone, or you have important information on that phone, then really no, I would recommend keeping an eye on the phone's health and when you see it's about to die, then start thinking about buying a new one, right?
