According to the report, Ali Khamenei's regime is likely preparing to flee the country amid intensifying protests. Since late December, there has been an unusually high level of activity by Il-76TD heavy transport aircraft between southern Russia and Iran. The publication Air Cargo Week drew attention to this.

The report stated that between December 27, 2025, and January 1, 2026, the same aircraft repeatedly flew from Mineralnye Vody to Tehran. These aircraft carefully avoided airspace controlled by NATO countries. Such activity and regularity are not typical of random commercial transport and indicate a pre-planned operation. These flights received further attention.

The report added that Russian cargo planes are arriving in Tehran and possibly transporting significant gold reserves out of the country. The report said that amid growing protests, the Iranian regime appears to be urgently trying to secure its most valuable assets. Unlike sea freight, which remains the backbone of trade between Russia and Iran. Only air travel allows urgent and sensitive cargo to be delivered or exported in hours rather than weeks, avoiding port delays, insurance issues, and the threat of interception.

Additionally, it was reported that Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei had allegedly developed an emergency evacuation plan in the event of a popular uprising leading to his overthrow. He plans to flee to Moscow as the protests continue to eliminate Khamenei.
