According to the report, a historic moment was witnessed during the opening of the 13th China International Folk Arts Festival (CIFAF) on Oct. 14, as the Loboc Children’s Choir (LCC) from Bohol led the prestigious opening ceremony with a magnificent performance.
The Ph contestants are composed of 16 young singers and three teachers. The LCC’s angelic voices and harmonies resonated on stage with their soulful renditions of the songs "Shared Future" and "Jasmine Flower," conveying a message of unity and friendship among diverse cultures.
The report also stated that, as the only delegation from the Philippines, the LCC members served as young cultural ambassadors between the Philippines and China.
This Ph delegates are led by Consul General Iric Arribas and Cultural Officer Sarah Erer of the Philippine Consulate General in Guangzhou and the Philippine team.
The festival was held from Oct. 14 to 21 and featured performances from various countries to celebrate friendship through art and culture.
