Man who alleged hundreds were raped and buried in Indian temple town arrested

A man who recently claimed to have been forced to bury hundreds of women's bodies who had been raped before being killed has been arrested by Indian police.

The small religious town of Dharmasthala in the southern state of Karnataka was in mess as a result of his shocking remarks.

The town is a major part of the daily life of the locals and is home to the centuries-old temple dedicated to Manjunatha Swamy, an incarnation of Shiva from the Hindu holy trinity.

That man is a serial killer. He ought to be hanged to death so no one emulates his heinous crime. Why did he kill many people?
