Manitoba: Man Steals Grader that He Couldn't Drive Away

Things were strange in Portage la Prairie. A man decided to steal a municipal grader, perhaps thinking he would have fun driving the big machine.

The police were quickly notified of the incident. But they didn't have to make much effort to catch him, as the thief had no experience driving a grader.

His journey was suddenly interrupted by a wire fence. The grader got stuck, and his dream of driving turned into a short-lived comedy.

When the police arrived, they found him circling the machine he had tried to steal, disheartened by his short, unsuccessful trip.

The incident turned out to be more of a comedy than a crime, and remains a strange memory of that year.
