Meta has reduced popular messaging platform WhatsApp using age from 16 to 13 years
for UK and EU.But this implemention has been criticised by a number of groups requesting the company to reverse the decision.
The groups believe that meta is putting shareholder profits first than children's safety. But meta has stated that reducing their age of use from 16 to 13 is to tell parents that Whatsapp is safe for children. They also said that they have users options in place to control who can be added to contact and you can block messages from an unknown number.
