Mining and staking ; Is it still lucrative means of making money?

Cryptocurrency market have been on downward trend since beginning of this year and many crypto mining companies are losing money. Cryptocurrency stakes are not left out from dwindling revenue.
Do you think that cryptocurrency mining and staking is still profitable as before?

I don't really know much about staking though, but from what i have heard, mining is no longer as lucrative as it used to be.
