Mobile or notebook/netbook: if you can purchase only one of them, what would you choose?

Imagine both your devices get busted, but you have the money to purchase only one of them (or, better said, you haven't enough to substitute both of them). Imagining the breakages can't be repaired (or the repairing costs as a new device). Needing to choose only a new phone or a new notebook (or netbook, smaller than a notebook, but same performance), which of them would you purchase? Which of them better meet your needs?

I would go for a notebook. I would look for a button phone to use for the meantime. My tech needs is more than what a smartphone alone can serve.

In a situation like this, i would go for a notebook so i can still continue most of my work till i can afford a phone, but then again i pray i don't have to choose.

The purchasing of used items could solve the matter (as it becomes possible to purchase both a notebook and a phone, when used and consequently cheaper), but I'm not so sure if it's the best idea. A friend of mine purchased a new desktop computer, as his device was terribly old. But after a few months (in any way, less than one year after his purchasing), my friend's desktop needs the assistance (probably, it needs a repairing)...

No smartphone can do my work efficiently as a computer. I would pick the notebook ahead of the smartphone.
