Monthly payment vs Annual Payment for essential utilities.

I think most of the utilities that we have give people options to choose between annual payment or monthly payment for the services.

What are the advantages of adopting either a monthly payment or annual payment system for services? Which one do you use for your basic utilities?

I pay my rents for both home and shop annually. I don't like having my mind worried every month about that particular bill.

When renting a property I prefer to accept annual rent payments rather than monthly rent payments, because money is worth more now than it will be in a year. Even if you rent a property monthly, the landlord often increases the rent along the way so you are better off paying annually.

In my city, we do not have an option to pay monthly or annually for water, gas and electricity. We usually pay on a bi-monthly basis or quarterly.

Well I would go for an annual payment if it comes with higher discount which they do
