Nope, it's not about the gender but the individual involved. Some women are really financially buoyant and independent now

It's not just limited to women alone, I have seen men who do not know how to manage their resources, and I have seen women who are very good at management.
Women generally like flashy things. That is why they find it quite hard to manage their finances with those desires.
I believe this have to do with individual differences not gender. There are women are are so hardworking and know how to manage their finances tham most men. Let's stop generalizing issuees because our perception may be partial or deceptive.

It is not about gender. Many women are now financially independent. They work hard to support themselves and their families.
My sister can spend so much money on junk foods compared to my brothers. It is still individual differences though.
I think that depends on the individual, not gender. Some women are very smart in managing personal finance. And in my city, there are many women who hold high position such as Financial Controller at work.
If most woman do not manage their finances, it is their headache. They may soon fall into debt trap.
Here married women, even housewives have a better social status compared to single women professionals, though married women may be financially dependent on their husband.
It is not easy for a woman to stop impulse spending. That's the way they were wired. To approach everything emotionally including purchases.
A woman that has seen difficult financial situations in life would learn to manage her finances very well.
I would disagree with this. Women are always taught to manage finances at a young age. They have to budget to feed the family.

In my part of my world, this is very common. Husbands are supposed to manage finances and women are usually stay at home mothers

Of course not, in my country married women can also work anywhere and make money either by doing business or just freelancing, they will get money and buy their needs, they can even spend it as they please without control and dependence on their husband.
