According to the report, a woman and her boyfriend were arrested in connection with the death of her 3-year-old son, who police accused them of murdering "to make room for a child the two of them could have together." Amanda Maison, 28, and Maurice Houle, 31, were arrested on Friday for the death of Maison's 3-year-old son.
According to the prosecutors, the 3-year-old was found dead in his bed by babysitters in the home he lived in with Maison and Houle. Although no significant progress was made in the years, the prosecutors alleged that Maison and Houle had been abusing the child for the entirety of his short life.
It was learned that the child was brutally tortured by the mother and the cout recounted a long history of abuse that included "torturous abuse and punishment" like "being placed in timeout on his knees where his head would be banged off the drywall" or hard that it removed "the backing of the drywall itself," or being "locked in his room for hours on end without food or water." The pair of killing the child as part of a plan to make room for a child, and the two of them could have together.
Maison and Houle were arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Houle was also charged with three counts of assaulting, resisting, or obstructing a police officer for actions he committed during his arrest on Friday.
