According to the report, a 9-month-old child is in critical condition after Columbus police said his mother threw him across the room on Wednesday.
The report said that thirty-year-old Billie Jo Tustin is now being charged with felonious assault.
The report confirmed that the baby boy was rushed to Nationwide Children's Hospital after first responders were called to the 900 block of North Fourth Street in the Italian Village area.
According to the criminal complaint, Tustin told police she had thrown the child approximately 15 feet across the room, landing on his head on the floor. She also admitted to throwing him shorter distances several times, along with spanking him and slapping him in the face when she got frustrated.
Additionally, the child's injuries could be a result of foul play. Police said another toddler was in the home at the time of the incident, but was unharmed.
