So, Elon Musk made a call to give Iran free Starlink during their long internet shutdown, and people are really talking about it. What I care about is that it could help people get online in a place where the government blocks stuff and shuts down the internet, which hurts free speech. To me, it feels like Musk isn's just doing something techy but also making a statement against what Iran is doing. It's cool that Starlink can just go around the usual internet setup and link folks straight to the web. The best part, I think, is that tons of people might be able to get their news and chat with the outside world again. Overall, it seems like it could really help with getting people online freedom.
