Must a bar operating in the evening have a DJ?

Drinking bars are popular businesses around my city. One thing that is synonymous to these bars is that all of them must have a DJ that plays in the evenings.

Some small bars that are just starting might not have the funds to afford a DJ every evening. Must any bar operating in the evening have a DJ?

What is a bar without music? Even if you can't afford a Dj, get some audio speakers and create a play list with your phone to have music in the bar.

It depends on how you want to make your business look. It is not a must that you must have DJ. Some customers like me don't like to drink in noisy atmosphere. I prefer where there is no noise. Moreover, you can set up your music instruments and be the DJ. What is so complex about been a DJ.

Bars and music go together. I don't know of other places but people can't come to your bar in my city of there is no good music that appeals to them.
