There are businessss that have lasted for decades and they have not really grown that much. But they are surviving year after year. And are sustainable. Must a business always aim for scale up? Can a business just stay and run at its level for decades?

There are subsistent businesses everywhere. They just serve as side hustles to the owner and are sustainable that way.

While it is the wish of every business owner for their business to grow into something big, in most cases this is not always the go. Sustainability is the main go, and to ensure customer satisfaction.

No, the vision of a business doesn't always have to be to become very big. for everyone While some businesses may aim for large-scale growth, others may prioritize different objectives, such as sustainability, social impact, or a niche market focus

It all depends on the person who is running the business and how ambitious and learned he is!
If he is ambitious, he can expand the business even if it involves borrowing!

My own studio doesn't aim to be very big and become internationally known. If I can be an authority in my city, it is fine.
This is not a bad idea at all. A lot of time it is more lucrative to be known than making it big

Big businesses always have their own set of big challenges which some entrepreneurs are not prepared to handle. They would rather stay small.
