My customer's wife gave me extra money after the husband had paid me in full. Was I right to take the money?

So this young couple came to my studio to record. I did my thing and everything went well. The husband had paid me in full before we started the work. And after I completed, the wife said she loved what I did and she gave me another one third of the amount I charged her husband. The husband protested and told the wife that he had already paid me. He actually wanted to take the money from me. The wife told him to leave it. That she is just appreciating me.

Was I wrong to take the money?

I would also not accept the money if the husband doesn't feel cool with it. He is the customer that needs to be retained.

Your business is about recording videos. I am not sure whether you allow taking tips or token of appreciation in your business. If you do, it's okay for you to accept it. But I think giving one third of the actual payment amount as tip is something that would piss off any husband. But then there is no capping on tip amount.
If you don't accept tips or token of appreciation, it was wrong on your part to accept the money.
