I went with my band to play for a show. The entire team were enjoying the music as we delivered excellently. My lead guitarist left the stage and I had to cover up for him on the piano. I assumed he was going to ease himself. Only to see him being hounded by the security to meet the owners of the event.

He was caught backstage fondling with a lady that was an attendee of the show. I was summoned by the owner of the event. I pleaded for him to be released. But that was a big embarrassment on the entire band. Should I sack him?

Such action would definitely spoil the reputation of your band no doubt, but is this the first time he is doing such a thing? If yes then it would be best you suspend or give him some punishment.

While that is a big embarrassment, I would advise that the staff in question should be cautioned and given another chance.

He has broken the discipline of the band which is not acceptable. I think he should not be allowed in the band anymore.

I don't see these as an embarrassment as far as the lady in question gives her consent. If it is rape or serious sexual offense, then you can sack him. In this case, you have to surcharge him for negligence of duty.
