In a recent seismic event that shook Myanmar, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter Scale occurred on Monday at 7:59 p.m. local time. The National Center for Seismology (NCS) provided vital information about the earthquake, stating that it struck at a depth of 120 kilometers.

This earthquake, which rattled the region, drew attention from experts and residents alike. The NCS promptly shared the details on various platforms, including X (formerly known as Twitter). Their official announcement read, "Earthquake of Magnitude: 4.2, Occurred on 02-10-2023, 19:59:27 IST, Lat: 26.05 & Long: 97.47, Depth: 120 km, Location: Myanmar."

One reassuring aspect of this event is that, as of now, there have been no reported casualties. The local authorities are actively monitoring the situation, and further details are eagerly awaited.

This earthquake comes not long after a previous seismic event on September 7, when Myanmar experienced an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 on the Richter scale. The NCS recorded this event as well, stating, "Earthquake of Magnitude: 4.4, Occurred on 07-09-2023, 10:29:21 IST, Lat: 22.42 & Long: 93.85, Depth: 25 km, Location: Myanmar," on their platform.

The Morocco incident was last month...the momentum is not over yet and now Myanmar is a shock. Earth lost it's nature .

Sad development there and a huge concern that there seems to be repeated episodes of the earth quake in myanmar, people in that aprt of the world should exercise high levels of safety.Thank goodness that there were no casualties.

It is very sad that we are seeing so many earthquakes and even natural disasters at the moment as well. It's a relief that no one was hurt when this earthquake struck but it does make us wonder when we will see the next one and how bad the next one will be.

There was also a slight tremor near our area about 6 hours ago. I didn't feel it but those nearby did.
