According to the report, President Donald Trump announced that the US would send weapons to Ukraine via NATO and that Washington’s allies have agreed to pay for the arms supplies. It will be the first time since returning to office that Trump will send weapons to Kyiv under a presidential power frequently used by his predecessor, Joe Biden. Trump's team will identify arms from US stockpiles under the Presidential Drawdown Authority, which could be worth around $300 million, sources told Reuters. The Presidential Drawdown Authority allows the US president to draw from weapons stocks to help allies in an emergency.
