NDLEA has called for mandatory drug testing for all prospective members of the National Youth Service Corps in Nigeria

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has called for mandatory drug testing for all prospective members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), in a renewed effort to combat rising drug abuse among Nigerian youths. The call was made by the agency’s Chairman, Brigadier General Buba Marwa (retd.), during a three-day Drug Prevention Treatment and Care (DPTC) training held in Abuja, Nigeria on Sunday, April 20. The event was organized in collaboration with the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries church.

NDLEA is simply looking for trouble. If they do the test and find out that many of the youth corpers are drug users, what will they do about it? Will they arrest them or give them suspension? What is the essence of the drug testing?
