According to the report, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described a drone attack near his home in Caesarea as an "assassination attempt" by Iran and its proxies. The Israeli Prime Minister vowed to change the security situation in the region "for generations to come" and called the purported assassination attempt a "grave mistake" by Iran’s proxy Hezbollah.

The report said that none of the groups firing at Israel over the last year, including the Iran-backed Lebanese armed group Hezbollah, have claimed responsibility for that attack. However, Iran’s UN Mission said “this action was taken” by Hezbollah. Speaking at a news conference in Istanbul, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi acknowledged the possibility of an all-out war but added that Tehran seeks to reduce ongoing tensions in the region.

The Iranian supreme leader said that it was their proxy Hezbollah who had done the attempted assassination of Prime Minister Netanyahu. They denied the allegation.
