According to the report, the Israeli PM entered Syrian territory on Dec. 17 during a security tour of the buffer zone seized by Israel after the fall of Bashar al-Assad. Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel would stay in the buffer zone on the Syrian border “until another arrangement is found that will ensure Israel’s security.”
The report said that PM Netanyahu made the comments from the summit of Mount Hermon, located on the Syrian side of the border. Netanyahu’s visit appeared to mark the first time a sitting Israeli leader has entered Syrian territory.
The report added that The Israeli premier was joined by the defense minister, IDF chief of staff, Shin Bet chief, and IDF’s Northern Command head.
Israel has occupied many places now in Syria. Syria is weakened now after the Assads fled the country for their crimes. They should be punished.
