Newly detected XEC COVID-19 variant, identified in Australia and some other countries in Europe, not in Nigeria

The Federal Government has clarified that the newly detected XEC COVID-19 variant, identified in Australia and some other countries in Europe, is not in Nigeria.

This was stater by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Kachollum Daju. He stated that a recently leaked letter was precautionary and not intended to cause panic.

In the letter dated December 5, 2024, the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, had urged health authorities to activate heightened alert systems across hospitals and maintain a high index of suspicion for patients with COVID-like symptoms.

I have not seen it on TV news from our Philippine Health Department. We have just enjoyed freedom from the virus. Hoping it will be killed through injection.. Our injection already expired.

Health departments in every country this time are always monitoring to avoid millions of deaths that have happened during the pandemic. That was so deadly.

May God save mankind from these viruses. I heard that another virus is out called human metapneumovirus (HMPV). According to report, it is only in China presently. Lets continue to pray and watch.
