Nigeria’s poverty rate will reach 62 per cent, affecting 141 million

Recent reports and research has shown that the poverty rate in Nigeria this year will rise to 62%
Affecting over 141 million citizens in the country. While report has shown that President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima will spend about N9 billion on both local and international travel in 2026. If this money can be invested in the country, it will definitely go a long way but they are spending it on travels that does not bring any results, and we all know they won't spend that much, the rest of the money goes into their pocket.

This is very infuriating. Being that Nigeria has been producing petroleum since the 1960s, most citizens should be well-off by now.
