It is a jubilation time for Nigerians, as our own chess champion and child education advocate, Tunde Onakoya has broken the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest chess marathon.

Onakoya made Nigerians proud after achieving this feat in the early hours of Saturday, April 20, surpassing the 56 hrs 09 mins 37 seconds record achieved by two Norwegians, Hallvard Haug Flatebø and Sjur Ferkingstad, on November 11, 2018.

Tunde isn’t slowing down anytime soon and he is looking to raise the sum of $1,000,000 to be used for the transformation of the lives of underserved children across Africa.

Congrats Onakoya

That's pretty impressive, people who are good at chess games are usually pretty smart.

Some website owners believe that only some specific countries people are intelligent enough to do their task. You and me are far away from this. And they must look deeply as you can't bound the talent in geographical boundaries.

Wow congrats mate, you'll surely have good players you in the Paris Olympics. He might have a huge prize.
