Ocular disorders cause many hours per day in front of a screen

When we spend many hours per day along many years in front of a screen, sometimes we end up developing ocular disturbances. I discovered a friend of mine suffering from ocular disturbances as I do and he said it's due to the many years in front of a screen. He said he began to work in front of a computer when he was 13 years old and now he is 53. I understand we need tricks to protect our eyes, as we can't get rid of screens. Computers and mobiles are our main tools to work. No screen means no job for a lot of us...

I got the anti-radiation glasses at an optician, the price if converted to USD is around $39.

I'd also like to get these kind of glasses, especially as it looks like I'm losing the sight of my left eye little by little, but I'm afraid in my country the price would be too high (if it were 39 dollars I could afford them, but technology in Latin America is very much higher than in the USA or European countries).

I think that one should make some good settings on the screens like using as little brightness as possible and taking breaks for every two to three hours, using larger font size may also reduce the straining eye effect for that matter.

Yes, I usually zoom between 125 and 150, cause my glasses are not enough. But I can't stop too much, as my main job is online and the earnings too small, if compared to the standard offline salary.

I think the best thing to do would be to limit the amount of time we spend in front of our screens be it laptop or phone.

I there must be something like that. That is because the light from the screens really interrupts the vision of the eyes but this should happen after years in years out spending time on the screen.
