In India online electronic goods are actually cheaper. They are expensive at the store but reliable.
Online shops should take responsibility of defective products.

How could it be possible? That's unlawful not giving back the money considering the item defective. It's scary to transact business online though. Just forget about it and move on.
But at the same time the buyers need to keep the products and get them densged and still want to send them back
That's why I always buy from reputable online retailers. If the item I bought is defective, they will refund or replace the item for sure.
That's the right thing to do. if you are buying online. Try to buy from well known sites that have something to lose

Even Flipkart and Amazon deliver wrong and defective products sometimes.
But these reputable sites would quickly sorts the customers out unlike others that might even ignore the buyers which is really bad
