Have you ever been to those out door movies where people sit in their cars to watch a movie, or there is a huge screen at the middle of a huge space, and people can just seat anywhere to watch a movie? If yes what was your experience like and would you go there again?

In India I haven't seen such a movie. I have visited the theater/ cinema hall many times but don't go out to watch movies anymore as I can't sit for three hours at a stretch.

I experienced it when I was a kid, our Mayor requested a cinema management to show a movie in the plaza for free. The people flock and it was so thrilling movie because it was portrayed by the famous action star in my country. 😁

Well, here in Italy, drive-ins have never existed, as they perhaps still exist in America. However, especially in the summer, some movies are shown outdoors, with a screen the same size as a theater and seating arranged in a dedicated space. Obviously, all screenings are held in the evening. I've enjoyed seeing movies outdoors a few times, especially since not all theaters have air conditioning, and it can be very hot indoors.

That's true, it sounds really nice though. We don't have this here. It's something i would really like to experience one day.

However, outdoor movie screenings are usually only held during the summer and only in certain areas of the city.

Makes sense, i doubt there is any place in my city where they can do this right now. The whole place is just too rough and crowded.

In this case, the size of each city plays a key role. For example, I live in Genoa, a large city in northern Italy, and there's plenty of space for such outdoor events. However, believe me, even here, unfortunately, every city has become dangerous. Trust me, that I live there, Italy is no longer the beautiful country as still mistakenly made out to be abroad.

It's pretty much the same over here, the city has become extremely dangerous so such events is not even safe these days.

You see, at my age by now I probably don't think I have the option of leaving Italy anymore, otherwise, believe me, I would! But....you see I could do the opposite of what happened in the '60s, that is to say I could think about leaving the city and moving to the suburbs or the nearby countryside. Life is definitely quieter there, at least for now....
