According to the report, Japanese authorities ordered the evacuation of Akuseki Island after a magnitude-5.5 earthquake struck on Thursday, part of an ongoing swarm of more than 1,000 quakes since June 21. Residents were moved to a school playground but later allowed to return after no major damage was reported. Japan, sitting on the Pacific “Ring of Fire,” remains highly prone to seismic activity, and experts warn of further jolts in the region. Officials are urging vigilance as the country braces for the possibility of a catastrophic “megaquake” in the coming decades.

That is the reason why I never like to go to Japan, it is prone to earthquakes.

A whole one thousand earthquakes? That's much. But does Japan have more earthquakes than other places
Yes Japan is prone to earthquakes. It's under the ring of fire. It's so scary. At least people are alerted before the occurrence of the earthquake.

Yes that's true, but i doubt everyone would be able to move on time sometimes, most of them won't even have peace of mind there.
