P2P seller refuses to release crypto after I had sent Fiat equivalent.

This happened to my friend. A P2P trade on Bitget he had entered. He was the buyer and had sent the fiat equivalent. He was waiting for the seller to release the fiat. The buyer opened dispute even after seeing screenshot of the funds he had sent to the provided account. This lingered for five hours before he released the USDT.

How can we avoid this kinds of experiences in P2P trading?
