The report said that the Pakistani government has authorized its military-run intelligence agency, the ISI, the power to trace and intercept calls and messages.

The report added that the ISI can now tap calls in the name of national security. Pakistan is becoming a surveillance state, even as its journalists struggle to do their jobs, or just survive. A record 7 journalists in Pakistan have been killed so far this year.

How will the ISI's new powers impact the freedom of speech and right to privacy in Pakistan?

it seems Pakistan is under the state of martial law because that is how it is when a country is under martial law, one-man rule and the authority falls to the military men. It will be scary for the people there in Pakistan.
