I came across someone who always wanted to be a medical doctor, but due to various circumstances, he was not able to. Fast-forward to present time, he is happily married with children, but he ensured that two of his children are medical doctors. According to him, if he couldn't achieve that dream himself, then his children should be able to. Have you experienced something similar like this before?

It is common for many people to seek in their children the possibility of fulfilling a dream that they could not do. Sometimes that becomes a positive motivation that drives the family forward. It can also generate pressure, depending on how this expectation is transmitted. In my experience, I have seen cases where that inheritance of dreams ends up being a shared pride.

Very true, there have been several cases like this here in my country. The children end up becoming the things the parents wanted to but could not.

There are circumstances like that as if you can't accept the defeat of not pursuing your dream course. Just like my case, I want to become a lawyer, but something unexpected happen. I landed instead to a course I never expect. I sometimes believe and agree that everything happens for a reason.

Some parents want their children to achieve the dreams they were unable to fulfill themselves, even if the children are not interested in those dreams. If I were a parent, I would suggest options but never impose them. My child should have the freedom to choose whatever career they want to pursue.

I have come across a similar story several times. Many parents pass on their dreams to their children, especially those they failed to fulfill. There was a father I once heard of, who dreamed of becoming a pilot but life changed his direction. He worked hard to ensure his son studied aviation, and now his son is flying in international skies. It is as if his dream has lived through his child. While not every parent does this out of pressure, some do it out of love and hope. It is fascinating to see dreams preserved from generation to generation.

Yes, that's true, parents want their kids to achieve what they could not achieved in their life.
