According to the report, a mother and father took their three toddlers to a campground, including a son with Down syndrome, and abandoned them without food, police said.

The report also stated that deputies were dispatched to a campground in Little Tallapoosa Park on September 16 for a report of three children who were living on their own inside a tent. The children, ages 2, 4, and 5, were reportedly found covered in dirt and in extremely poor condition. A bystander said that the children appeared to be covered in feces, and two of the kids told them that they had not eaten in two days.

The report also said that the family had reportedly been living at the campsite for some time, but parents Jason Askea, 46, and Kira Askea, 41, allegedly abandoned the children without warning days before they were discovered.

In addition to the report, before leaving, Jason and Kira allegedly cut off their 2-year-old son's oxygen and feeding tube, which he needed for "brain development" and "caloric intake." The 2-year-old reportedly suffered from Down syndrome and a chronic infectious disease that affected his teeth.

Jason and Kira were arrested upon returning to the campsite and charged with cruelty to children with excessive physical or mental pain. The children were placed in the custody of the Department of Family and Children Services.

Seems a lot of people today have forgotten what it means to be a parents cause the kind of things most parents do, they don't deserve to be called parents.

I pity the three babies, who have had no food to eat. They are covered with their feces. Just imagine their ages, 2,4, and 5. My God, the parents are so cruel. They'd better send their kids to the orphanage than leave them in the campsite that leads to prison.
