Payment on Delivery: I always ask for the delivery fee as a commitment.

So many times, customers that order for payment on delivery don't pick up calls as the rider gets to their location. The seller would have to pay the rider even when the sale didn't happen.

I now ask that every customer that wants Pay on Delivery commit by paying for the delivery or shipping fee.

That's the usual arrangement unless the seller offers for a free delivery. But usually sellers are wise, they add the delivery and or service fee to the cost of the products.

Man, that situation is honestly such a headache for small business owners. It’s totally fair to ask for the delivery fee upfront to confirm they’re actually serious. Noboby likes losing money on fuel and time because someone won't answer their phone. Honestly, if they really want the item, they won't mind paying a little bit first.
